Privacy policy
This policy explains what SmartGoCast does with your information. In short, the app has no account, we don't run servers that receive your media or personal data, and ads are provided by Google AdMob.
Who we are
SmartGoCast is an Android app published by y6dev (“we”). You can reach the developer through the contact details shown on the Google Play listing.
What we do not collect
- No account. You don't sign up, log in or give us an email address.
- No uploads of your media. Your photos, videos, music and playlists are not sent to us. When you cast, files travel from your phone to your TV over your local network.
- No analytics or crash-reporting SDK is included in the app.
What is processed on your device
- Media access. To let you pick and cast your files, the app reads the photos, videos and audio on your device after you grant permission.
- Playlists and settings. IPTV playlists you add (a link, a file or an Xtream login), favorites, your language choice and the last web page you visited are stored on your device only. They are deleted when you clear the app's data or uninstall it.
- Local network. The app searches your network for compatible TVs and, while you cast, runs a temporary server on your phone so the TV can fetch the file. This traffic stays on your local network.
Third parties
- Google AdMob shows the ads in the app. AdMob may collect and use identifiers such as the advertising ID, your IP address and device and usage information to deliver, measure and personalise ads. - Google Play services and Google Cast are used to discover and talk to Chromecast devices.
- Websites and servers you choose. The in-app browser loads the sites you visit, and IPTV playlists are fetched from the address you enter. Those operators receive your IP address and requests and apply their own privacy policies. We don't control them.

Children
SmartGoCast is not directed at children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect personal information from them.
Your choices
- Ads. You can reset your advertising ID or opt out of personalised ads in your Android settings (Settings, Google, Ads).
- Your data on the device. Clear the app's data or uninstall the app to remove everything it stores.
- Requests about ad data. Because ad identifiers are handled by Google, requests about them go through Google's own privacy tools.
Security
While you cast, SmartGoCast makes the selected file available on your local network so your TV can fetch it. Only cast on networks you trust.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the app changes. The date at the top of the page shows the latest version.
